fried chicken with cashew nut

street stall under tin roof
- fried chicken with cashew nut: 50 baht

it's amazing how good and cheap the food is when you leave the beach and head inland just a little bit, this was mild with what i think was a light oyster/fish sauce, the greens were crisp and fresh, almost as if they weren't cooked but grown in a skillet. i was hoping this meal would be spicier (it was very mild), but i think i was given the white tourist spice level.

For good cheap food and an adventure to boot, rent a motor bike and drive up the hill behind the dive shop. You'll come to a bit of a flat and there will be a restaurant on the left. Across from them is another little "road" that you can drive up to a look out platform. Also, from that little parking lot there is a path way that you can take to these big huge rocks that make a great lookout. You can see them from the boat when your on the way to the dive sites.
